The Respiratory Allergy Test is recommended in the case of allergies to environmental substances (e.g. dust mites, ragweed, animal hair) to detect the allergens causing the symptoms. During the test, we determine the level of allergen-specific IgE molecules, on the basis of which we define 7 classification classes that characterize the severity of the allergy. Symptoms of respiratory allergies are inflammation of the nasal mucosa, runny nose, itchy eyes, cough, frequent sneezing, in more severe cases allergic asthma, shortness of breath, suffocation, chest tightness. The respiratory allergy laboratory package with blood sampling tests a total of 20 allergens. The advantage of this test over the skin test is that it can be performed even when a skin test is not recommended. Examples of such cases include taking antihistamines or steroids, inflamed, eczematous skin, pregnancy, breastfeeding, and prolonged pollen season.
