The Covid-19 + Flu PCR test is a multiplex highest sensitivity test, during which the nucleic acid (RNA) characteristic of SARS-CoV-2 and influenza-A and influenza-B viruses is detected with high specificity using a molecular biological method. It is recommended to carry out the Covid-19 + Flu PCR test if there is a suspicion of upper respiratory tract infection based on symptoms suggestive of illness caused by influenza or the coronavirus (fever, lethargy, joint or muscle pain, headache, cough, sore throat, stuffy nose), and/or confirmed contact with covid or with a person infected with influenza.

It is recommended to perform the COVID+Flu PCR test if there is a suspicion of infection based on symptoms suggestive of the coronavirus disease and/or if you have been in contact with a confirmed covid- or influenza-infected person. If this early test was performed in an asymptomatic case and the result is negative, it is worth repeating the PCR test within 48 hours. It is also recommended for travel, before and after hospital treatment, or if upper respiratory symptoms are unclear.
